Andreya Triana is a MOBO-nominated singer-songwriter from South London. With a sound rooted in soul, jazz, and pop, her smoky, husky voice embodies female empowerment and individuality. After attending the Red Bull Music Academy in Australia in 2006, she collaborated with Bonobo and Flying Lotus before signing with Ninja Tune in 2010. She has released three solo albums: Lost Where I Belong (2010), Giants (2015), and Life in Colour (2019). Her music has been featured on TV shows including Grey's Anatomy and The Good Wife. In 2023, she appeared in the Netflix film The Statistical Probability of Love At First Sight. Andreya is currently focused on creating new solo material and writing for other artists.
Olga FitzRoy is a renowned recording and mixing engineer and former Executive Director at the Music Producers Guild (MPG). She has worked on scores for The Crown (Martin Phipps), Doctor Who (Segun Akinola), The Mauritanian (Tom Hodge), Gentleman Jack (Murray Gold), and The Innocents (Carly Paradis). Olga has also worked with major acts including Coldplay, Foo Fighters, Muse, and Dua Lipa & Martin Garrix. She recorded and mixed Emilie Levienaise-Farrouch’s scores for Living and Netflix’s The Strays, and recently engineered Herdís Stefánsdóttir’s score for M. Night Shyamalan’s Knock at the Cabin. Olga is an advocate for women’s issues and campaigned for Parental Pay Equality, leading to a new bill being debated in Parliament. She has called for support for UK recording studios.
Shara Rambarran is a musicologist and senior lecturer in music, business, and media at the University of Brighton. She authored Virtual Music: Sound, Music, and Image in the Digital Era and co-runs the Art of Record Production conferences. Shara specializes in remixology, digital technology, and music production, and serves on editorial boards for various music journals. She co-edited several books including The Oxford Handbook of Music and Virtuality and The Intellect Handbook of Popular Music Methodologies. Shara is also Bloomsbury’s Music and Sound’s biographer and musicologist for Spotify’s Decode music podcast.
Simon Zagorski-Thomas is a Professor of Music at the University of West London. He has taught record production, recording, research methods, popular music studies, and electronic music composition for over 20 years. Simon organized the first Art of Record Production conference in 2005 and co-founded the Journal on the Art of Record Production. He established the 21st Century Music Practice research network and has led UK Research Council funded projects on studio performance. Simon is the author of The Musicology of Record Production and Practical Musicology, and co-edited volumes on the Art of Record Production and music production handbooks.
William Moylan is Distinguished University Professor and Professor Emeritus of Music and Sound Recording Technology at the University of Massachusetts Lowell. He has taught recording techniques, critical listening, music theory, and recording analysis for over 40 years. Dr. Moylan’s research focuses on the intersection of sounds in recordings, music, lyrics, and psychoacoustics. He has worked with both popular and classical artists, leading to several Grammy nominations. William is the author of Recording Analysis: How the Record Shapes the Song and Understanding and Crafting the Mix. He is co-editor of Analyzing Recorded Music: Collected Perspectives on Popular Music Tracks.
Dr. Justin Morey is a Senior Lecturer at Leeds Beckett University and a University Teacher at the University of Sheffield, specializing in music business, studio-based recording, production analysis, and music technology. He founded and operated a recording studio in Shoreditch, East London, from 1995 to 2003, working with clients including Kathy Brown, EMI Music Publishing, Wiley, and ZTT. Dr. Morey's research focuses on digital sampling, copyright, and creative practice in music production. He earned his PhD in 2017 for his thesis, A Study of Sampling Practice in British Dance Music, 1987-2012. His academic research explores the impact of copyright management on sampling practices.

Jessie Marcella is a Leeds-based producer and composer known for her emotive soundscapes. Influenced by artists like Sigur Rós and Björk, as well as classical composers such as John Tavener, Jessie blends electronics with live strings and vocals to create a unique neo-classical dance sound. Her immersive live shows feature visuals by vfx artist BozViz and have taken her to stages from Albania to London’s Roundhouse. Jessie has performed at The Great Escape Festival, Radio 1’s Big Weekend, and supported Gold Panda on tour. Named one of BBC Introducing West Yorkshire’s ‘Best of 2023’ and a Youth Music ‘One to Watch 2024,’ Jessie won the Youth Music Music Producer Award in 2022. Jez Willis is a founding member of Utah Saints, a dance music act with over 30 years of chart success. He has co-written and produced 10 UK Top 40 tracks, including four Top 10 hits, with over 1.5 million singles and 400,000 albums sold globally. His work includes over 40 commercially released remixes for artists like Girls Aloud and Bring Me The Horizon, as well as collaborations with Michael Stipe, Chuck D, and Arthur Baker. Jez has also contributed music to films such as Mortal Kombat and games including FIFA Football, while curating a stage at the Beatherder festival since 2008.
NikNak, an artist well-known for her creative and boundary-breaking work, has gained worldwide recognition with her eclectic albums, remixes, and engaging performances. In 2020, she made history as the first Black Turntablist to receive the prestigious Oram Award. Not limited to any one genre or role, NikNak excels in composing, sound design, DJing, and electronic arts. With multiple releases, collaborations, and live shows, NikNak stands out in the music industry for her unique style. Featured in various publications as a rising star, NikNak continues to advance the boundaries of sound innovation with her complex turntablism and spatial music production.

Richard Formby is a British musician, engineer, and producer. He has been a member of The Jazz Butcher and In Embrace and contributed to Peter Kember's post-Spacemen 3 project Spectrum on the album Soul Kiss (Glide Divine) (1992). Formby has produced notable albums, including Wild Beasts' Two Dancers (2009) and Smother (2011), Ghostpoet's Some Say I So I Say Light (2013), and Darkstar's News from Nowhere (2013). Alongside his production work, he has released solo electronic experimental music and owns a studio in Leeds.
Sara Garvey is a London-born musician and DJ with Irish, German, and Ugandan roots. She began her career as a freestyle vocalist in a hip hop crew before joining the Leeds-based project OAK, leading to a contract with BMG. Garvey has collaborated with producers like Flood, Youth, and Chris Martin and released records with MJ Cole. After touring and writing with Nightmares On Wax for seven years, she formed her own band, Phoenix Pearle, in 2009. Garvey later transitioned into DJing, securing a four-year rooftop residency and hosting her own event, 'Moon Unit,' at underground venues in Leeds.
Phil Bodger is a recording engineer, mixer, and producer with over three decades of experience across music, film, and radio/podcasting. He has worked with Maxi Priest, producing the US Billboard No.1 hit "Close to You," and contributed to Cathy Dennis' debut album Move to This. UK chart successes include The Housemartins, The Lighthouse Family, The Proclaimers, and Paul Hardcastle. In film, Phil has recorded and mixed scores for Evelyn, Bride of The Wind, and Delovely, and provided on-set Pro Tools playback for Last Christmas, Aladdin, Fisherman’s Friends, and Marvel's Eternals. In the podcasting and radio industry, he collaborates with The Guardian, BBC, Audible, and NPR, with recent projects including Death at Deepcut and Reading Our Times for Theos Think Tank.

Gary Bromham is a composer, artist, music producer and mix engineer. He has worked with many successful artists and songwriters including Bjork, George Michael, Sheryl Crow, Bow Wow Wow, The Tubes, Robbie Neville, Eddie Money and The Fixx. Gary teaches Production at the Academy of Contemporary Music, Guildford, UK. His PhD research thesis was entitled “Enveloping and Shaping the Sound: An empirical analysis of the perception of retro aesthetics in music production” (Queen Mary University London, 2023, in press). Recent publications investigate timbral perception, and include work on AI-based Intelligent Music Systems. Gary is currently tracking his forthcoming album at Real World studios in Bath, UK. Izzy McPhee is a junior engineer at the mastering collective Weird Jungle, based in Bristol. She is deeply connected to the city's vibrant music scene, drawing from a diverse musical upbringing that spanned genres from northern soul to britpop. Supported by Saffron Music and Arts Council England, and mentored by senior engineers Katie Tavini and Stephen Kerrison, Izzy has amassed over 150 mastering credits in just two years, including work with Walt Disco and Dream Wife. In 2024, she was shortlisted for the Music Producer Guild’s ‘Rising Star’ award. Izzy is committed to increasing racial and gender diversity in the music industry and offers accessible services to self-funded and under-represented artists through her involvement in 2% Rising and Saffron’s online members club.
Ken Scott is a British record producer and engineer renowned for being one of the five main engineers for the Beatles, and for his work with artists including Elton John, Pink Floyd, and Procol Harum. As a producer, he is particularly noted for his collaboration with David Bowie on albums such as Hunky Dory, The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars, Aladdin Sane, and Pinups. Scott also produced for Supertramp on Crime of the Century and Crisis? What Crisis?, as well as for Devo, Kansas, and Level 42. He has earned a Clio award and two Grammy nominations for best-engineered pop album, and in 2010, he received a fellowship award from the Association of Professional Recording Services.
